The resort is beautiful, and the upper garden has gorgeous views! Everyone on the staff was professional and welcoming and friendly in every interaction. Great location in central Soriano, and I visited during the chestnut festival, so lots going on all the time. Easy parking across the street (and further down the hill, and if you park in the underground add a set of stairs). I stayed in Apartment 1, which is a studio. It had a small, but very functional and fully stocked kitchen. I was able to cook many of my meals and never lacked a cooking tool or utensil. The fridge was ice cold, and one very nice touch was that there was a bottle of very cold water in the fridge when I arrived. So welcome! During my stay, the lower garden was closed while the landscaping and stone work was redone (that was the view from my window, but I completely understood and not a problem for me at all). The a/c wasn't very strong, which wasn't a huge problem except it was in the upper 80s in late September during my stay - unusual, but getting to be more common in Italy, unfortunately. This is definitely not a hotel for anyone with mobility issues. As nearly all other guests noted, you have to climb a steep hill to reach the lobby, and from there one of the two buildings does not have a lift and I needed to carry luggage down a full flight of stairs to reach my room. And then obviously climb the stairs and navigate the hill every time I came and went. Not an issue for me at all and I knew about it in advance, but please take this seriously if you have any concerns about mobility at all - it can be a real problem if you aren't in at least moderately good shape. I believe a porter can assist with luggage, but just getting to and from the hotel requires you to be somewhat fit or it will be a big challenge. Breakfast was always nice - typical continental breakfast. Nice cornetti, good coffee, fresh juices, other pastries and yogurts.

we rented two nights here in February to see whether we would like to come back at a later date as a timeshare week. Our conclusion was yes, we would love to. The town is in an interesting region with many places to visit within a short drive (Viterbo, Villa Lante, Bomarzo, Citta di bagnoregio, Montefiascone, Sutri and many others). The town itself was worth a day. In late February it was difficult to find open restaurants, but this is common in this area. We had an apartment in the back building on the 3rd floor with easy access to the garden that gave beautiful views of the castle. The breakfast area was lovely as was the first floor lounge in the main reception building. They also had laundry facilities.

Staff is very friendy (both reception as well as breakfast and restaurant), appartment clean (cutlery not spotclean though, had to wash before using due to crumbs), appartment size great, view too. Kitchenette is very well organized and had kettle, coffee machine, toaster and other appliances which can be very useful, as well as enough glasses, plates, pots etc, very handy if you want to dine in during your stay. They also provide dish soap, tea towels and sponges, which is not always the case and was highly appreciated.

Wonderful hotel, the bed was very comfortable, the room was very big. We got the one with kitchen and full refrigerator The location is amazing. The parking 🅿️ is easy. They don’t explain very well but just need to get one block from the hotel and find a spot to park or park on double row and leave one person in the car, walk to the hotel and Raul will help you with his little car, he will take you to the parking and bring your belongings to the hotel. Breakfast was great

Rene

The view from our room was phenomenal. The room was large and comfortable. The bed was great. We visited Sacro Bosco (aka the Monster Park) nearby and loved it! Also, we came for the town's annual Chestnut festival and loved the spirit the townspeople brought to the festival. It was the best Renaissance fair ever.
